Admin Update!
Brian here with an important status update on DFWFPV.
DFWFPV has been growing a lot in the last 6 months.
- We've had more opportunities to present drone information at events around the metroplex.
- We've been getting more involved with legislation efforts, and have one of the first FRIA applications in the country to the FAA.
- We've taped one TV show and currently have a few more things similar to this being negotiated right now.
- We've worked hard on collaborating with other drone organizations, including the Drone Racing League.
- We've created social media campaigns and are working through how too best build those up and share what the DFW FPV community has to offer.
- We're frequently featured on Reaction Ent's FPTV Friday night shows.

So, the update:
I don't want to slow down. To help grow DFWFPV, I've asked Jonathan Smith to take on more responsibility and help run certain aspects of the group. Jonathan is a part 107 drone pilot and videographer. He has been instrumental in offering his time and resources for most of our youtube presence. He will be featured on a prominent Youtube show, TakingOff, by the end of the year discussing commercial drone operations. He is also expected to soon be an FAA Safety Team representative.
Jonathan and I will be working together on how we can enhance our monthly meets, bring in more group events, explore opportunities with other vendors and groups, and expand our social media presence.
