FPV NEEDS YOUR HELP!

FPV NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Federal regulation impacts our hobby. One of the factors of the FAAs risk evaluation is weight of an UAS. Currently, anything under 250 grams is considered a very low risk and does not require things like RID or registration.

This weight amount was decided based on nonsense data and does not reflect a valid risk assessment of current technology. It also impedes progress of the hobby and limits the expansion to those who would otherwise enjoy it.

The FPV Freedom Coalition and Flight Test organizations are coordinating an effort to raise this limit to 1k. This would be an amazingly helpful effort in expanding our hobby with effectively no additional risk to safety.

Most drone racing would be under this.
Most FPV Freestyle flight would be covered.
Many long range setups would be covered.

Maybe you've thought to yourself "These rules are silly and don't make sense!". Maybe you even intentionally break the rules... If you think the rules are bad, take action and lets try to change them.

So... What can YOU (yes, you, reading this) do to help?

Start by watching the attached video.
Write your representatives using this page: http://raisingthelimit.org
Share this information with those you know.

Then, please support these organizations who are working hard on representing us.
